Privacy Policy

This page explains in plain words which personal data the syskevasia-expo.gr website collects, why, who sees it, how long we keep it and how you exercise your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU Regulation 2016/679) and Greek Law 4624/2019.

Last updated: 31 October 2026

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is PL Events – PETROS CH. PETROPOULOS & CO L.P. ("PL Events"), organiser of the SYSKEVASIA exhibition.

  • Address: Polymnias 7, Gerakas 153 44, Greece
  • Phone: +30 210 8056205, +30 210 8056207
  • E-mail: [email protected]

2. Which data we collect

We only collect what you give us and what the website needs to run securely:

  • Contact form: name, e-mail, phone, subject and message.
  • Interest form and exhibitor application: company details (name, activity, address, website), name and position of the contact person, e-mail, phone numbers and stand choices.
  • Newsletter: your e-mail address, the time of sign-up and the IP address it came from.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, page and time of each request, in the server log files.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, as described in the Cookie Policy.

3. Why we use them and on which legal basis

  • To answer your message: to handle your request before a possible contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) or our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • For exhibitor participation (offer, contract, invoicing, organising the exhibition): performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligation for tax records (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • To send you the newsletter: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • For visitor statistics, Google Maps and advertising measurement: your consent in the cookie banner (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 4(5) of Greek Law 3471/2006).
  • For website security and protecting the forms from abuse: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. Who else sees the data

We do not sell personal data. Only authorised PL Events staff and the providers the website needs see it, each one only for its own task:

  • The hosting provider of the website server.
  • Cloudflare, Inc.: content delivery network and attack protection; every visit to the website passes through it.
  • Our e-mail provider, through which the forms reach us.
  • Google Ireland Limited: Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Google Maps and Google advertising measurement — only if you allow it in the cookie banner.
  • Eventora: online visitor registration and B2B meetings take place on the Eventora platform that the related links lead to; Eventora's privacy policy also applies there.
  • Public authorities, only when the law requires it.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Google and Cloudflare may also process data in the United States. These transfers are based on the European Commission adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep them

  • Contact messages and interest forms: up to 24 months.
  • Exhibitor participation records: up to 5 years, for contractual and tax reasons.
  • Newsletter: until you withdraw your consent.
  • Server log files: usually up to 12 months, unless they are needed longer to investigate a security incident or for a legal claim.
  • Cookies: as set out in the Cookie Policy.

7. How we protect them

The website only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The forms are protected against forged submissions and only authorised people can access the administration.

8. Your rights

At any time you can ask for:

  • access to your data and a copy of it (Art. 15)
  • rectification (Art. 16)
  • erasure (Art. 17)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • data portability (Art. 20)
  • objection to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21)
  • withdrawal of your consent, without affecting what was done lawfully before (Art. 7(3))

Send your request to [email protected]. We answer free of charge within one month (GDPR Art. 12).

9. Newsletter: how to unsubscribe

To stop receiving the newsletter, send an e-mail to [email protected] from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Unsubscribe from newsletter".

10. Complaint to the Data Protection Authority

If you believe that the processing of your data breaks the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (1-3 Kifisias Ave., 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr).

11. Changes to this policy

When the way we process data changes, we update this page and its "Last updated" date.
